Sarah Curry earned a MFA in fiction from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is the recipient of a 2019 PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. She was a finalist for the Center for Women Writers International Literary Award (2017) and the Francine Ringold Award for New Writers (2018). Her fiction has received Honorable Mentions from The Masters Review and the Kentucky Women Writers Conference. Her work has appeared in Oxford American, Nimrod and Pen America Best Debut Short Stories 2019. She is at work on a novel. She teaches and lives with her two kiddos and husband, a mathematician, in Lexington, Kentucky. She'll argue with you (and win) that there's nowhere more beautiful. She’s worked as a policy advocate for OneAmerica, We Belong Together, and the National Immigration Forum.
